Who we are
BIGGIE Brands.
Our company was born from years of designing for people who pour their heart into what they do. Founder Kat Kotrla has been shaping brands since the early 2000s, back when Austin was scrappier, the music scene was wide open, and design still smelled like fresh ink and hustle.
After studying at the Art Institute of Dallas, Kat came home in 2001 and launched Design Project Neko, a small studio with a big personality. Musicians and local legends like Stubb’s BBQ and C3 Presents (Austin City Limits Festival / Lollapalooza) noticed, and the work helped define a piece of Austin’s visual voice.
Kat later co-founded a SaaS company in 2005, that is still running strong two decades later. It is a reminder that good design and good business go hand in hand.
In 2017, he started BIGGIE Brands to help restaurants and lifestyle businesses tell their stories the way real people experience them: with craft, with care, and with the kind of trust you earn, not buy. Let us help create your next project.
Automated Marketing for Cartridge World
"We know the marketing landscape has changed in terms of digital marketing, but we had no idea how or where to get started. BIGGIE Brands has helped us stay in touch with relevant marketing messages to our existing customers, while simultaneously reaching out to cold leads in our targeted area. All of this marketing is automated which is great, because unfortunately I don’t have a lot of time to devote to continuous follow up. Once I approve the campaign, I sit back and wait for the responses."
